Hurts Like Heaven (Chapter 1)“It’s Christmas Eve, little Lyric...” Kay laughed as his three-year-old daughter insisted on jumping on her bed, “You should be under the covers, you little scamp you.”
His wife, Meryle, padded up the wooden staircase and into Lyric’s room; she couldn’t help but smile joyfully at the sight of Kay and their young daughter.
“Looks like she’s excited for some presents,” Meryle said softly to her husband who was rough-housing with the little wolf, “Kay! You have to calm her down, not get her all riled up!”
Grinning apologetically at her, his bright green eyes twinkling, Kay was just about to tuck their daughter in under her blanket when the three of them heard a knock at the front door.
“I wonder who’s at the door.” Her father muttered, picking her up and bringing her back down the staircase, setting her down infront of him when they reached the door.

War (Chapter 2)“What’s happening?” The teenage boy called to her once more, “Is it bad?”
“Shut up, let me fix this,” Shocks snapped a bit harsher than she intended, “I mean be quiet; here, give me my necklace, I need my necklace…”
“Okay..” Her boyfriend told her as he reached inside his blue and green hoodie, pulled out his girlfriend’s lightning bolt necklace, and threw it at her, “Here, behind you!”
“Thank you!” The teenage girl replied as she quickly reached up a hand to catch the necklace; she put the necklace on and closed the silver clasp, “You’ll have to help me a bit if and when I need it, do you promise to do so?”
She peered back at the other teen and, after seeing him nod briefly, she spoke once more, “Good..”
“What do you want me to do?” Jaeger asked in a worried but still curious manner.
“Come closer…” Shocks instructed sharply
War (Chapter 1)“Shocks, I need you!” Jaeger screamed at the top of his lungs as the dark figures known more commonly as the Demons approached.
“I will be by your side, just count to three and I’ll be there…” He remembered his girlfriend telling him one peaceful Summer day before the Demons had invaded Earth.
Before the Demons had taken over three-fourths of Earth, Earth was filled with joy, excitement, and happiness; it was a pleasant place to be.
Now, now was different, all hell broke loose; they had killed off most, if not all, of the good in the world, joy, excitement, happiness - gone.
Instead, there were dark, dreary, Hell-like landscapes engulfed in flames and negativity surrounding Earth.
‘One...’ Jaeger thought as a Demon attacked him, sinking its teeth into his leg.
‘Two...’ He counted again as another Demon leapt at him and sank its razor-sharp teeth into the flesh covering his throat.
