Must Be Love

"Hey, Jaeger, did you hear about the new girl who came to our school yesterday?" One of Jaeger's friends named Sirius asked curiously.

"Yeah, I've heard about her," Jaeger replied and, as he smiled grimly, he added, "I haven't met her yet though."

"Do you want to meet her?" Sirius's boyfriend named Isaac questioned with the air of sudden pride, "I can introduce..."

Isaac never got to finish his sentence for the girl they were just talking about had walked into their Social Studies class halfway through the class period.

"Is that..." Jaeger sputtered in a low, quiet tone of voice as he nervously tried to flatten his blonde bangs.

The girl, hearing him, glanced over at him shyly and blushed as her dark brown eyes made eye contact with Jaeger's grey ones.

"Close your mouth, bro." One of Jaeger's other friends named Lyle hissed coldly in his ear, "Don't want a fly flying in there now, do we?"

The girl sat down at a desk nearby, smiled at what Jaeger thought could've been him, and then began to fidget nervously with her long, dark hair.

'She's pretty... Wow...' The teenage boy thought to himself as he closed his eyes, 'She's really, really pretty...'

He couldn't keep his mind off her for the remainder of the class, no matter how much he tried, his mind just kept going back to her.

As soon as the bell rang, his friends darted out of the classroom leaving the new girl and Jaeger alone in their wake.

Jaeger watched in awe as the girl gathered her binder and pencils and walked straight past him, accidentally tripping on the carpeted floor.

Her binder and pencils flew out of her hands and were scattered about the floor.

"You ok?" The tall, blonde boy asked her as he walked over to her and helped her gather her stuff up off the floor.

The girl, he couldn't help but notice, she was about a good six to seven inches smaller than he was.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." She mouthed softly as Jaeger handed her some of her pencils and papers, "I'm just clumsy."

"Come on, Jaeger, you're late for Science!" Sirius called to his friend, "Hurry!"

"I'm coming, hold on." He replied and, as he and the girl walked to their next class which they shared, he quickly introduced himself, "If you didn't already hear my friend, my name's Jaeger."

"My name's Hollow but everyone just calls me Shocks." The girl responded as she blushed.

"Why do they call you Shocks?" The boy asked curiously.

"Jaeger, hurry, the bell's about to ring!" Sirius called to him again.

"You'll see..." Shocks giggled as she and Jaeger walked into their next class, "You'll see..."
